The grapes come from a steep block of the vineyard. After a slow, cool fermentation, the wine went into 100% new French oak barrels.
The wine is smooth and rich with black cherry. Yet, it retains a vibrant acidity. The wine has a fullness of palate that pairs well with a variety of foods.
